Kavanaugh no friend to the environment
Kavanaugh no friend to the environment
Donald Trump’s Supreme Court nominee, Brett Kavanaugh, is no friend to the environment.

In his past work as a D.C. Circuit court judge, Kavanaugh repeatedly ruled against EPA’s efforts to protect clean air and public health, and expressed skepticism that the agency had a right to regulate industries contributing to climate change.

Kavanaugh’s appointment wouldn’t bode well for the future of Maine, New England, or our planet in the nation’s highest court.

Maine Senators Susan Collins and Angus King need to hear that there is too much at risk to confirm Kavanaugh – call them now and tell them to vote NO:

Susan Collins: (202) 224-2523
Angus King: (202) 224-5344

As Mainers, we know better than anyone that a healthy environment means a healthy economy – and that climate change and unchecked pollution threaten both.

Climate denying groups like the Heritage Foundation and Americans For Prosperity have endorsed Kavanaugh as a Supreme Court justice, a troublesome prospect for anyone concerned about the world we’ll be leaving behind for our children and grandchildren.

Now is the time to take action: tell Senator Collins and Senator King to say NO to Judge Kavanaugh.
