Fabulous Find assists Great Works land trust
Fabulous Find thrift store gave a boost to conservation recently with proceeds from September sales. Store staff presented a check for $4,332 to Great Works Regional Land Trust.

Great Works' board member Pat Robinson said the contribution would assist the trust's conservation projects and ongoing operations.

A membership organization, the land trust provides conservation options to landowners and outdoor recreation primarily in Berwick, North Berwick, South Berwick, Eliot, Ogunquit and Wells. Since its founding in 1986, the nonprofit has conserved 5,172 acres of forests, farmland, watershed and wildlife habitat.

Fabulous Find also awarded checks of the same amount each to Moffatt-Ladd House and Garden in Portsmouth, N.H., and the Discover Portsmouth Center at a reception hosted by enthusiastic volunteers.

For information about the trust's conservation and recreational outings, e-mail info@gwrlt.org or visit www.gwrlt.org. Visitors are welcome on many of the trust's lands and to the office at Beach Plum Farm Preserve, 610 Main St., Ogunquit.
