After meteorologist Mark Bloomer caught sight of Northern Flying Squirrels gliding from tree-to-tree near his cabin in Fort Fairfield he built an elaborate feeder on his porch, allowing him to observe elusive flying squirrels like never before. "Mark's squirrels" have since been featured in Sir David Attenborough's BBC series The Life of Mammals, Downeast Magazine, and Brown University students' biological research.
